Things To Do In Atlanta (2025)

Secret Atlanta wants to help you make the most of every weekend, so we put out this awesome guide of weekend plans for you each week! With so many things to do in our lovely city, it helps to have a guide! So if you’re wondering ‘What is there to do this weekend in Atlanta?’ You’re in the right spot!

Without further ado, here’s our list of super fun things to do this weekend in Atlanta!

1. Head to Sunday in the Park featuring Tunes from the Tombs

When: Sunday, September 29th, 2024 from 12pm – 7:30pm

For a super fun end to your weekend, you’ve gotta head to Oakland Cemetery’s iconic Sunday in the Park festival! The whole community will come out for local arts vendors, food trucks, beer, kids’ activities, and so much more! And of course enjoy tons of tunes from the tombs with several local bands!

• Children 6-17: $10
• Children 5 and Under: Free

2. Strut your stuff at the iconic East Atlanta Strut

One of the coolest neighborhoods in Atlanta is hosting their annual strut, the East Atlanta Strut, and you can’t miss out! This one-of-a-kind experience has tons of fun things to do: from artists to live music and bands to yummy food & drinks to crazy, hilarious games, wacky contests, prizes and MORE, there’s something for everyone at the East Atlanta Strut!

As you strut, you’ll see yard signs with different mascots on them: a Rooster, a Dragon, a Peacock or a Llama. East Atlanta can’t be tied down to one single mascot, so we had to pick several ‘districts’!

When: Saturday, September 28th, 2024 from 12pm – 6pm

3. Enjoy Oktoberfest in Georgia’s German town, Helen!

This year, go all-in for Oktoberfest! Head to Georgia’s adorable little German town, Helen, GA for a super authentic celebration this weekend!

When: September 5th – October 27th, 2024

Where: Helen Festhalle | 1074 Edelweiss Strasse, Helen, GA 30545

4. Head to one of the adorable pumpkin patches near the ATL!

It’s pumpkin season, y’all! And Georgia has so many incredible pumpkin patches to check out, just a short drive from the city! Whether you’re looking for some farm fun, yummy pumpkin snacks, or to pick out your perfect pumpkin for your doorstep, there are so many amazing choices! 5. Check out the luminous Pumpkin Festival at Stone Mountain, now open for the Halloween season!

It’s officially fall this weekend, and we’re so excited to get our Halloween on! One of the most iconic Halloween experiences in town is Stone Mountain’s iconic Pumpkin Festival and light show! This fun-for-the-whole-family festival has all the pumpkins, jack-o-lanterns, fall treats, and storybook fun your heart desires! Oh, and it’s Stone Mountain, so of course they’ve got a killer Halloween Laser and Drone show to end the night with a bang!

6. Check out The Wicked Pig, an over-the-top Halloween Pop-Up

The famous Blind Pig Parlor has officially opened their Halloween pop up bar for the season, and you can’t miss out! From dangerously delicious drinks to yummy treats (and maybe a trick or two), you can’t miss out! Grab your friends or your ~boo~ and head to the spookiest pop up bar in the ATL!

7. Explore one of Georgia’s incredible corn mazes

Fall is the perfect time to get totally lost in the twists and turns of the best corn mazes in the state! Perfect for a family outing, team bonding experience, or just a great time with your pals, exploring all the corn mazes near Atlanta is buckets of fun! Oh, and don’t forget all the farm fresh pumpkin, apple and fall-flavored treats you can grab while you’re at it!

8. Pick all the apples your heart desires at a local farm

Fall weather means one thing for sure: it’s apple picking season! Grab your gals, your boo, or your family, and head to one of Georgia’s incredible apple farms to pick a whole barrel of sweet, crispy fruit! There are also plenty of farm fun and other sweet treats at these fun apple picking spots–so don’t miss out!

9. It’s officially pumpkin spice latte season! Grab a PSL treat this weekend.

This fall, skip the Starbucks and grab some truly delicious local pumpkin spice treats! With so many mouthwatering fall delicacies, you might not even know where to start! Don’t fret… we’ve made a list of all the best places to grab a PSL (and other Autumnal treats) in Atlanta!

This amazing event happens every weekend at a different ~secret~ location with a ~secret~ comedian you don’t know until they come out on stage! 15. Spray Paint and Sip by Studio W.I.P.

This weekend, Fever’s Spray and Sip by Studio W.I.P. is opening up, and you don’t want to miss it! You’ll learn the ins and outs of working with spray paint, and even get to design your very own canvas! You’ll learn lots from an instructor about the beauty of graffiti and street art! Oh, and the best part? It’s BYOB friendly, so grab your friends and your drinks and get to spray painting!

16. Go indoor skydiving at this insanely cool experience!
