At Keenan, I was involved in some sort of extracurricular activity. I participated in the illustrious marching band my 9th and 10th grade year. I also played varsity basketball from 9th to 10th grade where we won three state championships. I participated in volleyball and track and field my 11th and 12th grade year. I did this all while maintaining a 3.0 gpa.

My experience with Keenan High School has been a rollercoaster. I for the most part have become very close with my teachers, they are helpful and very understanding. They care about their students passing, and make sure to cater to our emotional needs as much as possible at least in my experience. I’ve had some teachers who I wasn’t very fond of but for the most part I’ve liked my administrators and teachers.

It is a good school overall.I would recommend the magnet program as well because it teaches things outside of normal studies and focuses more on what you or your child may want a career in.

Keenan doesn't really do anything and doesn't prepare us for college, most of the stuff I learned was from my teachers that wanted to help but from Keenan itself? No, it feels like they are just trying to push us out.

During my experience at W.J Keenan High, I learned not just academics but life skills and how to stay on top of my books. This school not only challenged me to go be something but reminded each and every student why we walked in those double doors, for not just a high school diploma but a degree outside of this. W.J Keenan offers many outside education services such as Midlands Technical School and even Hayward classes. Early learning education start to further your academics along your transcript and defiantly college ready.

When I first came to keenan there was so much things you can do to get more involve with the school. Most of the teachers really connect with the students and when having trouble with work Most of the teacher help their students. mostly everyone in keenan are nice.

My experience has been good. I’ve had good teachers from ninth grade til now in twelfth. Sometimes it can feel like I’m being overlooked because a lot of times the “bad” students get more attention than the ones that actually do good. Also the school can be very unorganized at times. It would be better if things were decent and in order, but the school lacks decency most days. If that changed then I feel like my experience would be great.

This is a very good school when it comes down to academics, some kids like to act out but that is most schools. The teachers are really nice and most of them create a bond with their students.

I loved my time in this institution I made a lot of friends, colleagues and colleagues and associates. It was pretty interesting I should say and I got along with my peers very easily. But unfortunately time must go on.

I would say it is an amazing experience. The administrators are so caring and want to see you succeed. The teachers build relationships with the students and make sure everyone is comfortable and knows what’s going on.

My experience at keenan was great. If I could , I’ll do it all over again. The teachers were the best , we had a great sports team , and there were many extracurriculars to join. The only thing I would change is the administration, they didn’t really discipline the kids if they were to act out.

W.J. Keenan helped me stand out from the other students, find myself, and network with others. I went into high school traumatized by middle school; however, Keenan helped me overcome multiple obstacles. It is a school that is in favor of their students, faculty and stuff. It is almost like a huge family which makes everything much better. Going to a high school that is welcoming is the most loving thing.

I have been a student at WJ Keenan for four years and while it is a great school there are some things I would like to see change as I embark on my next step. For example, I have noticed that the majority of their focus revolves around sports. However, I have noticed how they seem to be garnering interest in other things, such as the STEM Program. I have really enjoyed the progress I have seen in that department.

WJ Keenan is a wonderful learning environment that continues to mold and shape the minds of our future leaders. The teachers and staff are fully equipped with the tools need to build our youth to their full potentials. They have sting focus on academics, arts and sports. They are overall very diverse and have a lot to offer any student.
